Optimisation and replacement plan

Hardware with a plan, not with surprises

We find out what is oversized, what sits idle and what is reaching end of life. We plan replacements years ahead – with a budget, not by fighting emergencies.

Replacement planner

When is a big expense coming?

Enter how many devices you have and how old they are. You will see when they reach end of life and how much to set aside each year so that replacements do not all come at once.

When is a *big expense* coming?
Computers and laptops
Servers
Network and Wi-Fi
Printers
–Biggest expense without a plan
–Per year when spread out
–Devices already past their lifespan

A rough estimate based only on your values. Adjust lifespan and prices to suit you.

What we do

Less hardware that costs you for nothing

From inventory and optimisation to purchasing and responsible retirement.

Optimisation

We find out what is oversized and what sits idle. Consolidation and virtualisation instead of yet another server.

Replacement plan

The lifecycle of every device: what reaches end of life when, what to replace and how much to set aside for it each year.

Upgrade instead of replacement

Where it makes sense, we extend device life – more memory or an SSD instead of a new machine.

Purchasing and retirement

We suggest what to buy, and securely wipe old devices and hand them over for recycling.

Process

How a replacement plan is made

From the real state of your devices, not from spreadsheets.

  1. 01

    Inventory

We go through computers, servers, network and printers: age, performance, utilisation and warranties.

  2. 02

    A plan with a budget

For each device, an estimate of when it will reach end of life, and a yearly amount to set aside for replacements.

  3. 03

    Optimisation and purchasing

What can be improved or merged, we improve or merge. What is needed, we buy in good time and at a sensible price.

  4. 04

    Regular updates

We review the plan every year and adjust it as the business grows.

FAQ

What you ask about hardware

How long does a business computer last?

It depends on the work you use it for. An office computer usually lasts 4 to 6 years, a server 5 to 7. The plan is based on the real state of your devices.

Is an upgrade worth it instead of a new device?

Often, yes – more memory or an SSD can add years to an older computer. During the audit we tell you where it pays off and where it no longer does.

Do we need our own server?

Not always. When a server reaches end of life, we compare buying a new one with moving to the cloud – including the price for years ahead.

What about old devices?

We securely wipe the data and hand the devices over for recycling. Anything that can still be used can go to less demanding work.

How much does a replacement plan cost?

You get a first overview of what is reaching end of life as part of the free audit. A detailed plan with a budget is part of IT management or a separate job with the price up front.
